SAUNDRA LANE GALLOWAY ART FOR LIFE

Saundra has been interested in art from childhood.  She began her college career at Harding Christian University where she majored in Fine Arts.  Marriage and two children put her art career on hold, but not her interest and love of art.  For 15 years Saundra taught herself to draw and paint by taking various workshops and reading countless art instruction books.  Her interests began with drawing and oil painting and led to watercolor.

In 1993 Saundra returned to her college careeer and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Art Education from York Christian College in York Nebraska.  She taught art on the secondary level for 10 years in Texas, Utah and Colorado.  In recent years Saundra became actively involved with the Lakewood Arts Council in Lakewood Colorado where she served as president for two years.  She was an active cooperative member of the South Union Gallery for 7 years where she showed her work both in the Gallery as a co-op member and in various shows held on a monthly basis. Recently Saundra felt it time to stretch her artistic legs in a different direction so has been working to fine tune her skills by painting on a daily basis and working to find avenues to show her work more suited to her efforts of late.
